See our Laser's in Full Force!

On May 5^th, 2011 LG’s Innovator’s Ball happened at the Ontario Science Centre.  

Their theme this year was ‘A Night of Sensory Deception’ and we were so excited to be involved and to show off our new partnership with Canada’s leading laser provider.

It was an incredible night and our five-minute laser show wowed guests as they transitioned from darkness into light.  Check out our two-minute clip below!

First Annual - Look for this again in 2012

Well folks - We did it!! With the help of The Raptor and our awesome community partners, we collected food and raised money for Daily Bread Food Bank, gave away some fabulous prizes, and put a smile on eveybody's face.

Counting down to Zero Hour

Fourteen hours to go! We've been planning this moment since July. At 1 PM, at AirMagic World Headquarters, the Raptor - NBA's #1 Mascot, will light the fuse and start the show.

Come for the Fireworks - stay for the popcorn and balloons - enter our draw and you could walk away with an awesome prize or two.

NBA's #1 Mascot - Lights Our Fire

Does it get any more exciting than this????  Just as our Giant Burning School House arrived from the paint shop (yes - it's awesome!), we got the call that we'd been waiting for.

The one and only Toronto Raptor - the mother of all mascots - confirmed that he will be joining us at AirMagic World Headquarters on Saturday to celebrate with us - to help us collect food for Daily Bread Food Bank -  and to wield the torch that will light the fuse to our big show!!!!!!!!!!

This is it - The kickoff of VICTORIA DAY 2011!!!!!!

Victoria Day, Fireworks day in Ontario, is fast approaching. To kick off this year’s family fireworks season, we're inviting everyone... old friends and new - hippies, hipsters, moms, dads and kids, beats & beatniks, pyromaniacs and garden variety maniacs - to  AirMagic World Headquarters to stand back, grin and giggle as you watch us unveil and ignite our 2011 Fireworks creation.

The BSH is a Victoria Day icon. Designed and invented in Hamilton, Ontario, it has delighted Canadian children and adults since it first appeared in 1938. This will be a truly Canadian moment, an ecstasy of such patriotic proportions that we cannot settle for the folks from Guinness to certify this world's record - no Irish beer clerks for us!

Come for the School House and stay for refreshments, 
balloons and a draw for 10 Fabulous Prizes.

At 11 AM, we'll open our doors for a sneak preview of this year’s phenomenal fireworks and early-bird bargains…at 1 PM we'll go outside for the Main Event!

Fireworks Season KickOff

YIKES!!! - 43 days to Victoria Day....... The May 2/4 long weekend,  time to open the cottage, get out the bicycles and roller blades, and...................... FIREWORKS!!!!!!!!!!!

The World's Largest...................?????

OK - we do like to stretch out the anticipation. Suffice to say that the electoral pyrotechnics that we're living through right now will not come close to what we have in store for you.

A truly Canadian moment, an ecstasy of such patriotic proportions that we cannot settle for the folks from Guinness to certify this world's record - no Irish beer company for us .... we've reached out to a truly Canadian source to give us the nod.

112 days till VICTORIA DAY

Canada Day, Guy Fawkes Day, Diwali,  the Fourth of July, Bastille day, New Years Eve... What do they have in common? That's right, FIREWORKS!!

Ever since I was a kid there were two BIG days in my life, both in May. My birthday and Queen Victoria's birthday - one right after the other - how lucky was that?  Of course Victoria Day was usually a nearby Monday, but in my heart of hearts it was on the 24th. Besides, what did it matter?  It was the day we shot fireworks in the backyard, did crazy things with firecrackers, and lit THE BURNING SCHOOLHOUSE!!

Yes, the BSH, invented right here in southern Ontario in the late 30's by Hands Fireworks. There are countless versions and revisions, but only one original, my childhood Burning School House.

This year AirMagic is going to celebrate this iconic Canadian invention. As well as bringing you the best consumer fireworks from around the world, we will be paying homage to the BSH!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011

Another New Year's Eve - another fabulous night with the gang from City TV down at Nathan Phillips Square.  The weather was remarkable, the crowds were enormous... great bands, great talent in front and behind the cameras. This year's show was a two-hour live broadcast.

As well as shooting the Fireworks to ring in the New Year, and a little more for Auld Lang Syne, we were lucky enough to open and close the show with Pyro shots.

We hope you enjoy what you see and wish you all a healthy and happy 2011!!

New Years Eve in Toronto

We're back at beautiful Nathan Phillip' Square - the iconic Toronto City Hall - to help City TV welcome in another new year. This is one of the highlights of the year... a big crowd counting down the last seconds of the year, and cheering and screaming as we shoot the first fireworks of 2011. 

You can think of us if you're watching on TV - dress warm if you choose to come on down.

They're here!!!!  A truckload of hand-picked fireworks for New Years Eve arrived last week - some old favorites and some very new.

November 21 - Take Two

Later the same day, in the first deep freeze of the year, with a crazy wind coming in off the lake, we were down at BMO Field for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2010 Major League Soccer Championship game.

Beautiful Red and White Flares - custom made for us by the good folks at DMD Systems - formed a perimeter behind the players as strains of "Oh Canada" filled the night air. With the crowd cheering, we sent Comets and Mines screaming hundreds of feet into the air.

The game was a nail-biter. Dallas led 1-0 until the final minutes of the game when Colorado tied it all up. Colorado went on to win 2-1 in overtime. Mere minutes later we were shooting confetti at the 2010 Champions.

November 21 - Take One

Well...... we were back at the ACC in the early afternoon.... with tanks of CO2 standing by at each net. Lights - Video - GO RAPTORS!!!!!!!!!!

Right in between the Video and the Home Team - we shot beautiful plumes of crisp, cold Liquid CO2 high into the air above the net. Now we don't want to take too much credit - but our team did win that one!!
