World Theatre Day 2014

AirMagic salutes World Theatre Day!

The International Theatre Institute initiated World Theatre Day in 1961. Celebrated annually on the 27th of March, many international and national theatre events are organized around this occasion.  Each year an outstanding individual in theatre or another cultural field shares his/her reflection on the arts and international peace and harmony. The message is shared in more than 20 languages, printed in hundreds of newspapers and read aloud and shared to communities all over the globe.

The 2014 World Theatre Day Message is given by Brett Bailey. Bailey is a South African playwright, designer, director and more. His work has been recognized worldwide and has won numerous awards including a gold medal for design at the Prague Quadrennial in 2007. Click here to read The 2014 World Theatre Day Message.

Clara's Big Ride Heats Up

On March 14th, six time Canadian Olympian, Clara Hughes will embark on a 12,000 km bike ride across Canada, from Toronto all the way to Ottawa. The event is called "Clara's Big Ride" and will take approximately 100 days to complete. As the National spokesperson for Bell Canada’s campaign “Bell Lets Talk,” she helps raise awareness and stops the stigma that is associated with mental illness. Battling with depression her self, this is something that she is strongly passionate about.

Last night AirMagic worked at The Sound Academy for the launch party of Clara’s Big Ride. The event was to celebrate with Clara before she embarks on the ride of her life. The party included a performance by Hedley, delicious Canadian cuisine, and a beautifully heated patio by none other than AirMagic. Large flamed cauldrons guided the way into the event, while the patio was filled with warmth and light by spectacular fire pits and propane heaters.

These images show the large flame cauldrons in day and night. These cauldrons, or "flame bowls" work with continuous operation propane fuel and are 100% flame safe. They have a continuous pilot light inside, so if the pilot light goes off the whole device will shut down.

With the city skyline blazing in the back, these fire pits and propane heaters supplied a cozy atmosphere for party goers. Both are easy to use and can run continuously up to six hours. There is nothing more eye catching and mesmerizing than a dramatic flame to highlight an event.

We wish Clara Hughes the best of luck on her journey across Canada and look forward to following her progress along the way.
